I have win 98 and have PcCillin .
when I ran PcCillin it told me I had a virus . It said it was in windows favorites imported bookmarks messages ......
The name of it is JS_LOGO.A
It said it was unable to clean it and I could not make it delete it . When I tried to click on the X in the PcCillin window nothing happened . So I went to "start" and shut down . Then I looked in my "favorites" > imported bookmarks but I could not find .
How do I try and get rid of it ???
Thanks Dave

Are you able to go to C:\Windows\Favorites and delete the files? From what I read about this virus it creates a few urls in your Favorites the next time you reboot and then removes itself so you should be able to manually delete the urls. You could also run an online scan at either HouseCall or Panda to see if they will clean it up if you keep getting the alert.

I dont get any warnings about it --- PcCillin just tells me its there when I run a scan --- its the first one they have ever picked up - always before it said they found none
Dave
How about doing an online virus scan at either or both of these sites:
Panda (http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/)
Trendmicro (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/)

I don't understand why you keep talking about importing the Favorites. You should be able to go into Windows Explorer and browser to the location of your Favorites folder and delete the urls that have been placed in the folder. You also should be able to display your Favorites from IE and delete any that you don't want from there.
I had a similiar problem a couple of weeks ago with one called I think ta/js.needy or something like it, in the end because it couldn't be deleted, i went into safe mode, clicked start, find, when it was found i deleted and rebooted, no problems since. hope this helps
