Does anyone know how to locate the Norton Anti Virus subscription key after you have done an internet update of your subscription? I have Windows XP with Norton SystemWorks 2003.

I did the online update last night and my main PC is showing the subscription renewal but since I don't have the subscription key I can not update my other PC's so they have an updated renewal date.

Would it be listed in Aida ?

Thanks Amie and Brain for the reply. I took a look at Aida32 and Belarc and it did not seem to have the number I needed. I also took a look at Help and again it does not seem to have the number either.

Didn't you have to type in the subscription number as part of the update?
What about a confirmation email?

Thanks Crockett for the reply. When you do the internet update it is done automatically and the email you receive from Symantec's does not have the subscription key in it. I have contacted Symantec's and have tried to get them to send me a confirmation number but so far they are refusing to do it. I was hoping I could find it myself in the registry or one of the files so I would not have to purchase another subscription so I can renew my other copies of Norton AV.

I have these two numbers when I go to Help > About Norton System Works > Norton Anti-virus. They are SKU .... not sure if that is my subscription key, or something else.

Have you any idea of the format of the key, all numbers or mixed with letters, and the length etc.

Thanks everyone. I was finally able to get Symantec's to give me the subscription key over the phone yesterday so everything is fine now. Just as an FYI the numbers are a little different depending on what product you have but in my case which is Norton SystemWorks 2003 Pro the number starts with ND and then 9 numbers. After I entered the number and got it working I searched the registry for the key since I knew what it was and still could not find it so I don't know how they have the information coded. At least now I am good for another year. :)

Well, that seem an odd and round about way of doing things. You would think Symantec would email you a number if you request it. I'm sure they must have you on file somewhere in their computers...Glad you got it settled.

Yes Bill it is. I learned a valuable lesson this time and will not be doing an online update again. :)
