Hey, this is a fun game! I think you should get extra points if your word is a palindrome
or maybe even "palindrome-like" ... a word that reads as a word backwards or forwards.

Hi, Eve? May letters be added inside the perimeter, or just at the ends?
Eg: steeps for L e s' steps
I think we can add them where we like as long as the original order is not changed. :)

Edit... Suze... you are not supposed to change the order of the letters, just add a new one, take one away, or change one letter for a different one. :)

Hi Eve, I'm having a meltdown here... :cjlol:
Change a Word ----
New Game - change a word by either
changing, adding or removing a letter in it
"Either" followed by the three choices implies to me that only one choice may be taken according to the rules...
Sort of like: Provision 11 does not allow any nuclear powered vessel to enter ... even if it does not carry nuclear weapons, and is just utilizing an evironmentally clean energy resource.
"A" letter in the word implies to me that only one letter may be changed, added, or removed, during a lawful turn... :)
I have studied possible methods for turning "patios" into "patois" but each time I try... the transposition of letters requires 2 moves.
I apologize if there is a legal move that I have overlooked that would allow the transformation of the one word into the other... but it may be that it was not within the rules.
As the administrator of the games section, wouldn't it would be within your power to re-examine the rules... perhaps modifying a provision that is not conducive to the progress of what we would like to achieve for the future??? :cjlol:  :cjlol:

Shame on me for breaking the rules :) I stand corrected. I have mentioned before that I can't count. I will use the 'neither confirm or deny' excuse regarding whether I carry any brain cells.

Ite (wife of Tate, Indian mythology)
In Lakota mythology, Anog Ite is a daughter of Skan and wife of Tate. She attempted to seduce Wi but failed; one of her two faces was made ugly as punishment. She was also said to have taught the Lakota how to separate porcupine quills and dye them.
:hi: Suze, you may only make a new word by either changing, adding or removing a letter in it. The order of the letters must remain the same.
Ite could therefore become mite, but not the :)

Eve! You constantly astound me. I have a minor in Cultural Anthropology. Ok, no big deal, but I loved that field even more than my major. I never received a score less than excellent on any class or course, test or evaluation. And yet, I learn so much from you... aw shucks... whatever happened to that little smiley that stood for embarrassment? I need a good blusher very often around here...
Ben, I could say that was from by vast store of knowledge but of course it's from my friend Mr Google, not me :) I can't even separate and dye porcupine quills.

Always makes me think of socks, though. My mom had a small wooden "thing" shaped nearly like a foot that she would slip into a sock to darn it. It keeps our socks from being holier-than-thou's.
