There are a few places that you can do this, but I have chosen Xnview to demonstrate how easy it truly is!

You can download Xnview at http://perso.orange.fr/pierre.g/xnview/endownload.html Scroll down and click "download now" from the options at the bottom.

After you have downloaded the program, open it, click on "create" and then choose "slideshow". Now choose "add" on the box that comes up. Another box will come up where you can find your files. I keep mine in my pictures, so I choose that and now scroll until I find my first picture, click on the image name and then click "add". Then I find my next picture, click on the image name and again click "add". You will see the box filling up with your image selections. When you are finished, click "ok" and this brings you back to your original box.

Now comes the fun part! There are several options from which you can choose. Let's try a basic one. For transition, I've set mine to "use timer" and set it for 5.50. I've got a check mark in "full screen" and in "loop". For "transition effects", I clicked the little down arrow and chose "cross fading". I also went into "more options" and chose "no title bar" and left the other options that were already checked.

Now click "go" and you will see your result. If you want to change the color of the background, etc - go back into "more options" and you can click on the color that is showing and then choose what color you would like.

Also, remember that you can change the timer, looping or whatever from your first page.

Another thing that you might like to add will be some music. Add it the same way you did the images and it will appear in your column. You can add it at the first and save having to move it up the column later. When you click "go" to view the slideshow make sure you minimize the music bar so that the music will play in the background as your slideshow progresses.

If you have added the music later or need to move some of the images around, just click to highlight it in the column and then click the little up or down arrow until you have it moved where you want it. When you are ready to save it, click to "create exe/scr" or "create cd".

If you aren't finished with it, but need to save it - just click on "save" and then choose where you want to save it. Then when you're ready to work on it again, open up XnView, choose "create", "slideshow" and then click on "open", find your slideshow, click on it, and then click "open" in that box and your original slideshow will be there ready for you to continue your work. :hi:
