Adding glitter to an image Print E-mail

Make your images sparkle.

Several people wanted to try something else, so I thought this would be a "fun" thing to do. First you need to select an image and if it has a background - take it to http://www.gifworks.com/ Click on "file" and then "file open". Under "method 2" click on "browse" and then when the box comes up, find your image, click on it and then click "open". Now click on "upload image".

When the image appears, click on "edit" and then on "add transparency". Wait for the image to appear in a smaller box and then click on the background that you want to be transparent. When the new image appears, go to "file" and then to "file save" and wait again for the final image. When it appears, right click and save it to your computer.

Now go to "Bring on the glitter"  http://www.wtv-zone.com/aylana/bringontheglitter/bringontheglitter-1.html  and click on "clear glitter" and find one that will compliment your image. Left click on it and when it appears, right click and save it to your computer.

*If you ever find that the Imagemagick site won't work in the tutorial, please check here for additional Imagemagick sites. http://www.mypcclinic.com/forums/sh...9984#post129984

Now go to http://magick.net4tv.com/MagickStudio/scripts/MagickStudio.cgi Click on "browse" or "choose" and find your image - click on it and then click "open" and then on "view". When the image appears, click on the "composite" tab up top. When the next page appears, again click on "browse" or "choose", find your glitter - click on it and then click on "open".

Scroll down and set "gravity" to "center" and where it says "compose", click on the little down arrow and choose "atop". Under "miscellaneous options" - put a check in the box beside "tile across and down the image canvas". Now go up to where you see the "press to composite" button and click on it - *not* the top "composite tab". When the image appears, click on the "output" tab and wait again for the next page. Now press the "output" button - *not* the "output" tab up top. Wait for the next page which will show a larger image on top with smaller ones underneath. Left click on the larger image and when it comes up on a page by itself, then right click and save it to your computer.  If you ever get an error message,  click your browser's back button and then right click and save the image from that page.

Here is the finished image:

I am also including some larger glitter that I think you will like! Just right click in the center of the box below and save to your computer. The finished image above, has this larger glitter.
