A lovely special effect to add to your image

This is something that a lot of you are going to enjoy doing. It really compliments your image. First you will need a white background which I will include with this lesson. Just right click on it and save it to your computer. You will need another image (a rose) which is also included. Save it to your computer in the same manner. Using the two - you can complete this project.

First, go to http://magick.net4tv.com/MagickStudio/scripts/MagickStudio.cgi and click on "choose" or "browse" which will bring up a box where you can find your white background that you saved. When you find it, click on it and then click "open". Now click "view" and wait for it to appear.

Now click on the "composite tab" up top. Again click on "choose" or "browse". Now find your rose that you also saved. Click on it and click "open". Set your "gravity" options to "north" and your "location" to +0+60. Now set your "compose" option to "over". Press the "composite" button - NOT the "composite tab" up top.

When the image appears, click on the "effects" tab up top. On this page set your parameters to 5.0x5.0 and put a dot by blur*. Now click the "effect" button - NOT the "effect tab" up top. Click on the top "composite" tab. Click on "choose" or "browse" again and find your same rose image and click on it and then click "open". The only thing you need to change is the "location". Set it for +3+50 and press the "composite" button - NOT the "composite" tab up top.

Now click on the "output" tab up top. Then click on the "output" button on the next page - NOT the "output" tab up top. When your image appears, left click on the top "large" image which will bring it up on another page by itself. Then right click and save it to your computer. This really creates a dramatic impression of your original image!

Now we will need to go to Gifworks to do a smartcrop and add the transparency. To do that, go to http://www.gifworks.com/ and then click on "file" and then "file open". Under "method 2" click on "browse" and then find your image, click on it and then click "open". Now click on "upload image". When your image appears, click on "edit" and then go down to "resize/crop" and then to "smart crop". Click on that and wait for your new image to appear. When it does, you can either save it or what I do, is go ahead and set the transparency. Go to "edit" and then to "add transparency". A box will come up and you click on the white background and then wait for your new image. When it appears, go up to "file" and then "save" and wait for it to appear. When it does, right click and then save it to your computer.
