If you can't post your image at forums, etc., because the file size is too large to be used as an attachment or if you want the image to be visible within the message or you need to use it on your web-page, signature box or share with friends, you will need to upload it to a hosting site. Here are some free hosting sites - Uploadfile requires no registration. http://www.uploadfile.info/ Scroll down and click on "browse". Now, find your image, click on it and then click "open". Now click on "upload image" and wait for your image and codes to appear. This may take a few minutes, depending on the size of your image. When it appears, scroll down and you will see 3 different code boxes. Just pick the one that you need - message boards/forums, email or html. Highlight the code, right click and choose copy and then paste your code where you want your image to appear. Photobucket is a great hosting site too! The thing about Photobucket is that you will have an album and you can store and view your images. http://www.photobucket.com/ You will have to register (one time), but it is free. After that, anytime you wish to upload an image, just log in and click on "browse". Another thing is that you can upload multiple images at the same time by clicking on the little down arrow where it says "submit multiple images" and choose the number that you wish to upload. Click on "browse", find your image, click on it and then click "open". If you have chosen more than one image to upload, click on the next "browse" box and repeat the same procedure. When you have your image or images ready to be uploaded, click on "submit" and wait for the image/images to appear. Be patient as this might take a few minutes depending on the size of your image. When it appears, you will see 3 different codes from which to pick. Find the one you need, highlight and then right click and choose "copy" and then go to where you want the image to appear and paste your code. With Photobucket, not only do they store and keep your images for you to view, but you can also go back and delete any that you want to get rid of. ![]() Or you can try Imageshack http://imageshack.us/ At Imageshack, you can upload your images without registering or you can register for free and then be able to view your stored images, delete, optimize, resize, or even make a slideshow with them. They also offer other features like a toolbar for IE and an extension for Firefox. Just click on "browse", choose your options and then click "host it" and wait for the codes to appear. |
