This is a fun glitter project! We're going to make a patriotic glitter signature, but you can use the same directions and other glitter choices for different effects. Or you can even apply only two glitters and have just a double effect. But on this one, we're going to do a triple! *If you ever find that one of the Imagemagick sites won't work in the tutorial, please check here for additional Imagemagick sites. http://www.mypcclinic.com/forums/sh...9984#post129984 The first bar can be the same size as saved from the glitter sites, but you'll need to have the other bars longer. Right click and save these three bars to your computer -
Go to http://linuxenvy.com/bprentice/Banners/Banners.html and backspace out "banner text" and type in your text. Now pick the font "Black Chancery" from the little down arrow. You can pick other fonts, but our directions will be for the Black Chancery font. Now choose "white" for the text color, "transparent" for the background color. Put a dot by "regular" and then click "submit". Now wait for your banner to appear. When it does, right click and save it to your computer. Now go to http://magick.net4tv.com/MagickStud...agickStudio.cgi and click on "browse" and find your name banner that you just made, click on it and then click "open". Now "press to view" and wait for it to appear on the next page. When you see it, click on the "composite" tab up top. On the next page, click on "browse", find your silver bar, click on it and then click "open". Scroll down and set the "gravity" to "north", click on the down arrow at the "compose" option and choose "in". Now put a check in miscellaneous options, "tile across and down the image canvas". Scroll back up and "press to view" and wait for your image to appear. When it does, click on the "composite" tab up top and on the next page, click on "browse" and find your red bar, click on it and then click "open". This time change the "compose" option to "atop" and uncheck the miscellaneous option to tile across. In the "offset" box, backspace what's in there and put in +0-20 and now "press to composite". When your image again appears, click on the "composite" tab up top, click on "browse", find your blue bar, click on it and then click "open" and wait for the next page. This time change the "gravity" to "south" and change the "offset" numbers to +0-15 and now "press to composite". When your image appears, go up to the "output" tab up top, click on it and wait for the next page. Make sure that you have chosen to save as a "gif" and put a dot in "multi-frame file" and "press to output". When the image appears, wait for it to fully load and then double click to bring it up on a page by itself and then right click and save it to your computer. If you get an error message or a problem with saving the image, go back to your finished image and right click and save it from that page. Here is my finished image -
If you only want a double glitter, apply the first glitter then skip the directions for the middle bar and continue on with the third bar instructions, only change your "offset" numbers to +0-10 for the new second bar. Remember too, that depending on your font style, etc., you might want to play around with the offset numbers. If you don't like it, just click your "back" button and put in a new number and keep doing that until you're pleased with it. If you'd like to make your own glitter bars to have additional color choices, check out this tutorial -http://www.mypcclinic.com/content/view/134/86/ |
